SURE - there are companies that will send in any claim
you give them, or will "switch" your claim after you
enter it for under .50¢. Some do you billings for a percentage
of your total billed or received. Some charge a fee every month
so you can call and ask questions. They are easy to find,
and it's easy to end up costing yourself many times our per claim
fee in missed revenue on just one patient !
Most of these
"ultra-low cost" outfits don't tell you the procedure
code to use. Or can't help you with what diagnosis is required
for the supply. They can't advise you what modifiers are necessary,
how many months you can bill, if there is a dispensing fee, or
a consultant fee you are permitted to charge. If you miss
out billing for other permitted fees, it costs you more than
our fee. If you fail because you used the wrong code, or
had the wrong modifier, or the patient's medical diagnosis won't
qualify for the delivered item, you end up paying for more than
you would have if you let Integrated and it's experience staff
generate your claim.
These low
cost services can't tell you if the patient's carrier will cover
a product, or if there is a special documentation requirement
either. So you have to do all the coding,
pricing and qualifying the coverage before you keypunch the claim
yourself. Then if it's denied, and a portion are always
denied, you have to figure out why, correct the
claim and re-enter it yourself, paying another fee. What's your
time worth ? How much would you pay for the elimination of grief
and aggravation ?
These low
cost services don't provide you with comprehensive reports at
the end of the month to help you manage the revenue center, don't
provide you with accounting reports, product reports, and copay
and deductible reports. Most of the low-cost services don't
even do your secondary insurance carrier billing !
Integrated
believes that we offer the simplest, most comprehensive service
of it's kind anywhere. since 1990, clients have entrusted our
service to help them profit and grow in the vital and expanding
market of home medical equipment and medical supplies.
Integrated
offers you toll-free answers to coverage issues. We can tell
you what diagnosis your patient needs, what the requirements
are for documentation, how to ensure the maximum reimbursement
and collect all monies due you. We do all your paperwork, help
you with your applications and provider forms, ensure you are
aware of provider standards, HIPAA compliance and a keep you
informed about changes that could effect your providership.
So the
question you have to ask yourself is; " DO I WANT THE CHEAPEST SERVICE,
OR THE BEST ? "

| Many companies are copying services
similar to Integrated's business model. It might be a billing
service similar to our 3rd Party TPA service (seems like a lot
of people bought into that "make $10,000 a week from your
bedroom" sales gimmick) . Some of these companies started
out as your competition (health care providers or software companies
that couldn't be bothered with a CMN !) Because of lost revenues
and the unknown future they are expanding into the service market.
Some were computer companies that sold software to make bills,
some are startups that saw an opportunity to capitalize on market
confusion. Or, maybe they are offering "A low cost sign
up and just a quarter a claim". How good are you with coding,
screening, and repairing failed claims, because all they do is
send in whatever you enter. It's surprising the number of Internet
Consultants out there today (maybe it's some of the unemployed
technology workers from a failed Dot Com ?) Competition is good
for everyone. Ask these questions to any company that purports
to have a better system than Integrated's third-party support
program or internet service :Many companies are copying services
